Gouda is a traditional Dutch cheese which has a creamy texture and mild flavour when young. By the time the cheese is vintage it has developed intense and complex flavours, and has a firm texture.

We sell Gouda in four age categories, young (~2 months), mature (~4 months), aged (~8 months) and vintage, to suit every palate and use.

Young Gouda is wonderful on panini – it melts well, or in a sandwich. For those who want a cheese with a bit more flavour than a young cheese try the Mature Gouda which still has that creaminess of a young cheese, or Aged Gouda. However a good vintage is superb on a cheese board with a good wine. Add it as a final touch to pasta, or anything, which requires more flavour that a Parmesan style cheese can offer. Try shaving Vintage Gouda into a caesar salad - Yum!
