Makerikeri Baby wheel

Makerikeri: (Pronounced Ma kerry kerry)

A red/orange cheese named after our local creek in the apple growing belt of Loburn.
A lovely earthy cheese flavoured with annatto seed, which melts beautifully. This cheese is lovely on it's own on a cracker, but divine when grilled on crushed potatoes, when the aroma of the annatto is truly released. Makerikeri has a creamy texture, with an array of fine holes and an umami aroma. It's colour and structure is so distinctive it adds to any cheeseboard.

This wheel makes a striking statement at any event, and can be eaten in a multitude of ways.
