Makerikeri Baby Wheel

Makerikeri:  Pronounced "ma kerry kerry"

A red/orange cheese named after our local creek in the apple growing belt of Loburn.

A lovely earthy cheese flavoured with annatto seed, which melts beautifully. This cheese is lovely on it's own on a cracker, but divine when grilled on crushed potatoes, when the aroma of the annatto is truly released. Makerikeri has a creamy texture, with an array of fine holes and an umami aroma. It's colour and texture are distinctive so add to any cheeseboard.

The baby wheel is striking at any event and can be eaten in a multitude of ways.
